A vending machine as funny as it is useful, the Wine-O-Mat can be found in the Moselle village of Zeltingen. Hidden away in a parking lot just before one reaches the the Moselle bridge, this peculiar but practical vending machine checks the user’s age (you must present an ID card or driver’s license), requests the appropriate payment (around 10 euros), and then uses a robotic arm to automatically fetch the selected bottle from the shelf. Within a couple of minutes, you can have a dry, semi-dry or sweet wine—all exclusively from wineries in the local area Zeltingen-Rachtig. Prost!
